    Little Princess, Part 5 Summart

A Summary of Conor and Liz in Little Princes

Conor Grennan frequently emailed Liz and they became good friends over the internet. Liz eventually agreed finally spend two days with Conor in Thamel. An exhausted Conor was finally able to be relieved by hearing Liz’s voice and hanging out with his friends. Conor was further relieved to introduce Liz to the twenty six children of the Dhaulagiri House. Since Conor’s last visit the living conditions in the house had improved and the children had begun studying. In fact, the children even spent there Saturday evenings studying. After Liz bonded with the female children for two days, Conor brought her to the airport so she could visit India. At this point it became apparent to Conor that he was falling in love with Liz. In fact, Conor even contemplated following Liz to India and meeting up with her for a few extra days. Instead Conor decided to invite Liz to eventually return to the Dhaulagiri House to visit the children.

Next, Conor decided to share with the Dhaulagiri House children memories from when he met their parents throughout remote areas in Nepal. Conor began by sharing a story with Jagrit about meeting his father in Jaira. Jagrit had always wondered why he was separated from his parents and was emotional upon learning that his father was tricked by traffickers and his mother did everything in her power to keep him. Furthermore, Jagrit was moved by a picture of his father where the guilt and anguish his father felt over losing him was apparent. This experience motivated Conor to share his experiences with the Dhaulagiri House from his trip to Godawari, where Conor met all of the children’s parents. The children showed excitement and joy as they got to view nearly two hundred pictures from Conor’s trip. Moreover, each child was thrilled to see recent pictures of their families. The reassurance that the families of the children were still alive and healthy was important to the Dhaulagiri House. However, Conor regrettably had to inform Raju and Priya that their parents had died.

Now, Liz returned to visit the Dhaulagiri House for a week. Conor and Liz had always connected deeply over there emails, but really didn’t convey emotions well the first time they met in person. However, this time they connected on a deeper level. For example, Christianity had always played an important role in Liz’s life. Conor and Liz were able to spend the Christian holiday of Christmas together bonding with the children over breakfast. Liz described the experience as doing what Jesus would want her to do which exemplified the emotional richness of Connor and Liz’s relationship. In fact, Conor even purchased a Bible to understand Liz’s background more thoroughly. Next, Conor and Liz were became even closer due to their connections with the children. The Dhaulagiri House consisted of twenty six children. Six of the seven initial children resided there. Conor’s friend Gyan found the seventh child, Bishnu, who had been sold as a slave. Conor and the mayor unsuccessfully attempted to persuade the businessman to release Bishnu. When all hope was lost to get Bishnu back into the Dhaulagiri House, Liz was the most supportive of Conor.

Finally, the relationship between Conor and Liz continued to grow as they continued to email before Liz’s third visit. Conor’s friends were skeptical of the status of his relationship with Liz. However, Conor and Liz were technically just friends until Liz’s last visit. When the feeling of love was mutual between Conor and Liz, Conor proposed. Liz agreed to the proposal and has been married to Conor ever since. Moreover, Conor has moved the fundraising operations of his charity to the United States and it still operates today.

                                      Analysis

At the beginning of Little Princes, Conor didn’t see himself as a global humanitarian, yet his visit to Nepal changed everything. What is it about him and others like him introduced in Little Princes that sets him apart from these who don’t volunteer or get involved? In first part of chapter three shows a story about how he returned from American, and he explained about the feeling when he saw his mother. He heard about the attacks in Nepal in the Radio. After his mother left to Florida, he sent a message to Viva by email telling her that he wants to come back to Nepal. He bought the ticket, and before he went to Nepal he went to Kathmandu.
In the second part of chapter three the author shows the events about when he arrived to Nepal it was one year from when he traveled. He found a job in Nepal and started working while the kids were at school. Conor promised to find the seven lost children, and give them a safe home. It seems impossible mission for Conor to find these children in country which is suffering from uprising and food shortage. Conor was lucky, because he wasn’t alone Viva, Jacky and Gyan in especial, as well as the other fellows of the Umbrella Foundation.
They were willing to help him to find these children. Liz also supported him to keep searching for these kids. Conor continued to search for the children, from seven children he found five of them. At the end, trios whole mission was not easy while he had to risk his life but he successfully returned the children with their families. While he was in his trip around the mountain there was a woman at Kathmandu who was waiting for him, she was hoping that he arrive before the

    Book Review

The book titled “Little Princess” by Conor Grennan talks about slavery and one man’s quest to make an impact to children in Nepal. Grennan narrates the predicaments of children in Nepal during the civil war; the war began in the year 1996 and ended in 2006. The main theme of the story is slavery in the midst of war and poverty. Children are the most affected during the civil war. Parents find it hard to take of children, and they opt to sell them off to child traffickers. This leads to many children being left without parental care and become orphans.
The main character in the story is Conor Grennan. Grennan embarks on a tour around the world. Grennan decides to visit Nepal and help children who are victims of the war in Nepal. There are several children homes in the country, and Grennan opts to volunteer at Little Princess children Homes. The children’s center is packed, and there are children from different parts of the country. Grennan is compassionate to the children. Apparently, the children are not orphans. The civil war in Nepal and the high poverty levels made it difficult for parents to protect their children. Many parents sold their children to child traffickers hoping that the children would get an education and live safely.
The civil war led to a lot of suffering to the children in Nepal. The children sold to child traffickers ended up in the streets within the capital city, Kathmandu. Parents found it difficult to reconcile with their children due to conflicts within the city. After three months of volunteer work at Little Princess Children Home, Grennan travelled to other countries. It is while travelling to the other parts of the world that Grennan felt an urge to help children in Nepal. In United States, Grennan decided to start a non-governmental organization aimed at reuniting lost children in Nepal with their parents. The organization was known as Next Generation Nepal.
Under Next Generation Nepal, Grennan moved to Nepal and embarked on a task of reuniting seven children from Humla with their parents; the seven children had been found in 2006. In Nepal, Grennan collaborated with Umbrella Foundation, a non-governmental organization working in Nepal, to rent a house. The civil war in Nepal subsided, and Grennan embarked on the journey to reunite the seven children with their parents. Towards the end of 2006, some of the children who came from Godawari were reunited with their parents.
    Impression about the Book:
The book cover is eye catching and evokes a sense of sympathy. In the cover, the neat portrait of the little girl is in contrast to the rugged door behind her. The book is inspiring and contains valuable lessons about the impact civil unrest on children. Additionally, the book’s subtitle enables the reader to relate to the events discussed in the book. Grennan visit to Nepal enables him to have firsthand experience of what the children in the war torn country were experiencing. Grennan collaborated with other non-governmental organization, such as Umbrella Foundation, to help in reuniting lost children to their parents.
    Recommendation about the Book

I greatly recommend that people should spare some time and read the book. In the book, Grennan moved from being an ordinary tourist visiting different countries to making an impact to children in Nepal. The children who were reunited with their parents ended up achieving more in life than if they were alone. Unfortunately, there are many more children in Nepal who shall never experience parental care.

    His Initial and later Reasons

Conor’s life drastically changed after his encounter with the children at the Little Princes Children’s Home. The thought of spending his life with and for the children had never crossed his mind. The situation at the Little Princes Children’s Home, however, changed his entire life. Moving to the orphanage in Nepal, was but to facilitate Conor’s tour across the world. The warm welcome at the Little Princes Children’s Home which he received became the first bond that he had with the children and that later transformed his perception towards the children. The children were the sole warmth of Nepal to Conor. The love between Conor and the children grew fast and soon he was a father figure. Conor’s stay with Santosh at the hospital becomes his first realization that his life will never be complete without the children.
Conor’s quest to help the children forced him back to Nepal in 2006. This was the time that Conor realized that the children had their families but were trafficked by Golkka. He had to help the children find their families. Consequently, Conor promised reunites the children with their families. The political situation in Nepal was quickly deteriorating the children needed help.

Conor, who at no time ever thought of associating with children found his life incomplete without the children. He had to protect the children from Golkka, clothe them and offer them other basic needs. It became evident that he had to counsel the children to live out of fear of Golkka such the Nuraj and Knish, who could not share with their mother.  Against the wish of his family and friends, Conor’s encounter with the Little Princes Children’s Home transformed his whole life. To protect the children, he became a child activist in the war tone Nepal.

    · The simplest cases of plagiarism to avoid are the intentional ones: If you copy a paper from a classmate, buy a paper from the Internet, copy whole passages from a book, article, or Web site without citing the author, you are plagiarizing.
